BANDUNG – Concrete steps to improve the quality of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education continue to be taken by Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (UNTAG) Cirebon. On Tuesday, May 12, 2026, UNTAG Cirebon officially established a strategic partnership with Parahyangan Catholic University (UNPAR) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which took place at the Rectorate Building of the UNPAR Campus, Bandung.

The signing procession was attended directly by the Rector of UNTAG Cirebon, who departed from Cirebon accompanied by the university delegation, including the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), student affairs representatives, the President of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of UNTAG Cirebon, as well as several other student representatives.

Focus on Research and Community Service
This cooperation marks a new milestone for both institutions to collaborate with each other in various fields. In the near future, the implementation of this memorandum of understanding will be focused on the Research and Community Service sectors. Following up on the directives from the Rectors of both universities, LPPM UNTAG Cirebon and LPPM UNPAR will immediately draft a more technical Cooperation Agreement (PKS). This step is taken so that the benefits of collaborative research programs and community service actions in the field can soon be felt by the wider community.

Active Student Involvement
In addition to the research aspect, an important point in this cooperation is the inclusion of students as an integral part. The presence of BEM representatives and student delegates in this signing event affirms the commitment of both campuses to actively involve students in the implementation of programs in the field.

This collaboration is expected to open opportunities for students to exchange knowledge, experiences, and be involved in social projects that have a positive impact. Through this synergy between the campuses in Cirebon and Bandung, both parties are optimistic that they can make a greater and more tangible contribution to the nation’s development and the welfare of society.
